A collection of poems and prose by writer Hugh Maxton.
The title poem of the book explores the borderlands of political territory and human consciousness in Ireland. In response to these ideas, the cover alludes to the basic structure of a bridge as it is reflected in a river. Alongside this, graphic elements abstracted from the Irish and British national flags can be seen, while an antique map that depicts areas of Ireland by the popularity of surname is also visible in the background.
